Performance Standard: All electrical outlets, switches, and fixtures shall operate as designed.
Corrective Measure: The remodeler will repair or replace malfunctioning electrical outlets, switches, and fixtures.
Performance Standard: Wiring shall be capable of carrying the designed load for normal residential use.
Corrective Measure: The remodeler will check the wiring for conformity to applicable local, state, or approved national electrical code: requirements. The remodeler will repair wiring not conforming to code specifications.
Performance Standard: Fuses and circuit breakers shall not be triggered by normal usage.
Corrective Measure: The remodeler will check wiring circuits for conformity with applicable national, state, or local electrical code requirements. The remodeler will correct circuitry not conforming to applicable code specifications.
Performance Standard: Ground fault interrupters are safety devices installed as part of the electrical system to provide protection against electrical shock. These sensitive devices can be tripped very easily.
Corrective Measure: The remodeler will install ground fault interrupters in accordance with approved electrical codes. Tripping is to be expected and is not covered unless it is caused by defective installation.
